Rye Heritage Centre is located a few minutes walk from the foot of Mermaid Street on Strand Quay.

Regular train services from run both Hastings and Ashford International on the Southern rail operated Marshlink line. St Pancras International is less than 1.5 hours away!

Rye is easily reached from Hastings via Stagecoach services 100 and 101, and from Dover via Stagecoach service 102

Rye is located on National Cycle Route Number 2, and there is a bike rack located at the rear of the Heritage Centre
Arriving by Road and Parking
Rye is on the A259 between Hastings and Folkestone, and close to both Ashford, the Port of Dover and the Channel Tunnel terminal at Folkestone.
Just over an hour’s journey by car from the M25, via the A21 (exit at Flimwell) or via M20 and A2070. Rye Heritage Centre is located right on the A259.
Coach parking in Rye is located next to the Railway station (postcode TN31 7AB). Drop off: There is a bus-stop situated outside the Heritage Centre on the A259, so groups can disembark here to access the Centre easily.
Car Parking: There are multiple car parks in Rye operated by Rother District Council: http://www.rother.gov.uk/carparks
The largest long stay car park is the privately owned Cattle Market Car Park adjacent to the Railway Station.
Please note that this car park is not open from Wednesday evening until Thursday evening as it is used for the weekly general market on Thursdays.
