Tailored Group Packages
Book your visit for 10 or more and enjoy priority access to our immersive sound-and-light shows, like the original ‘Story Of Rye‘., or atmospheric ‘Rye After Dark‘ and the gripping ‘Second World War‘ show. While one group watches the show, others can browse displays, grab souvenirs in the shop, or relax. We recommend 45-60 minutes total — perfect for a relaxed stop on your itinerary.
Show Details
Our shows are all displayed within our unique theatre, which is home to the Rye Town Model.
The Story of Rye: Runs for 20 minutes and uses dramatic lights, sounds, and projections to bring 750 years of history alive. (Available in English, German, French, & Spanish. Subtitles available with English: Dutch, Japanese, Simplified Chinese or Italian.)
Rye After Dark: A 40-minute spooky and somewhat frightening show with special effects showcasing Rye’s shadowy past and whispered tales.
Rye’s Story: WWII: A 45-minute journey through the second world war. Discover the wartime secrets, Home Front stories, and Rye’s coastal defences from prior to the war to the end — engaging for all ages.
Accessibility
Ground floor (shop, penny arcade, Town Model shows) is fully wheelchair-friendly with level access — accommodates up to 2 small wheelchairs comfortably.
- Flashing lights, smells and jumps (Rye After Dark) may not suit all; ask staff for details.
- Hearing loops are available for all shows.
Upper floor via stairs only (no lift yet!)
Easy Booking Process
Fill out our quick online enquiry form or email groups@ryeheritage.co.uk with your date, group size (estimates fine!), and special requests.
Give at least two week’s notice for guaranteed timed slots; shorter notice welcome but may share shows.
Flexible splitting for larger parties; we’ll coordinate everything seamlessly.

We are able to offer guided walking tours around Rye that are similar to that of our standard guided walks. Please email groups@ryeheritage.co.uk for further information.
